When Vinney Chopra came to the United States from India more than 40 years ago, he had only $7 in his pockets. But he knew without a doubt that the opportunities offered by this country were within reach because he had a vision for his life plus the commitment to learn, work hard and sacrifice to achieve those goals.
With a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, he entered The George Washington University to seek a master of business administration degree in marketing and advertising. He sold Bibles and educational books door-to-door to support his studies, excelling both in the classroom and outside because of his work ethic and overwhelmingly positive attitude.
Today, Vinney, is fondly called “Mr. Smiles” because his positive demeanor has created a name of his own as a successful real estate investor. He’s married with two children, Neil and Monica, who have now joined him in managing the business.
In this episode, Vinney shares how to take advantage of the opportunities around us even with market uncertainty, and how having a positive attitude and abundant mindset set you up for success.

“We are so insignificant human beings, we really are, we should have no ego whatsoever, we should learn. Because what's that ego for? You know, and the big thing is when we take the ego out of ourselves, and we don't point outside, we should always point inside, you know, where it goes when we talk, you know, this is not right to that's not right, or, I'm not going to do this because but look at that three fingers are coming at us.” - Vinney Chopra
“God made it that way. When we point to somebody, it's not them, it's us three times more.” - Vinney Chopra
